I had two pairs of glasses.
a friend who does fashion consulting chose them for me a glasses, several years ago.
However, even if I wore glasses for “style,” the lenses were uncomfortable,
so I didn’t reach for them often.
For about two to three years,
I lived this somewhat humorous life
not wearing glasses while working alone in the office,
but putting them on when meeting clients or giving lectures.
Recently, I visited an optician at a supermarket and had my eyes checked,
and that’s when I realized why my glasses had been uncomfortable.
From spending so much time on the computer,
I had developed astigmatism that hadn’t been there before.
I had one of my glasses replaced with Zeiss lenses on the spot,
and they felt much more comfortable. (Cost: 50 USD)
But, Now that my eyes feel more comfortable,
I started thinking about replacing the lenses in all my other glasses.
So I visited the optician again,
and the store owner recommended a better lens.
That lens was the Zeiss ClearView Lens. (Cost 100 USD)
these were one step up in quality.
In the end, I upgraded the existing basic Zeiss lenses to the ClearView Lenses,
and the spare horn-rimmed glasses were switched to the basic Zeiss lenses.
In just a few weeks, I spending 200 dollar on lenses alone.
But I don’t feel the least bit regretful about it.
